The Reself Method

There’s a part of you that’s always carried on—coping, helping others, striving. And then there’s the part that feels stuck, anxious, overwhelmed… or simply numb.

If you grew up with emotional neglect, chaotic relationships, or subtle but deep wounds, your body and mind developed intelligent ways to survive. Pleasing. Overachieving. Shutting down. Staying quiet.

These patterns kept you safe then. But now? They may be keeping you from truly living.

 

That’s where the Reself Method begins.

What is Reselfing?

Reselfing is the process of returning to the version of you that existed before you had to cope. It’s not about becoming someone new—it is about reconnecting with who you were always meant to be.

This method is designed for adults healing from:
- Childhood emotional neglect
- Relational trauma or abandonment wounds
- Growing up too soon (parentification, high responsibility)
- Feeling unseen, misunderstood, or “too much”

A Trauma-Informed, Body-Based Approach

The Reself Method integrates relational psychotherapy, nervous system regulation, and emotional exploration. It blends established approaches—including trauma therapy, somatic work, and mindfulness—with a strong emphasis on warmth, trust, and long-term healing.

You will learn to:
- Identify and soften your survival patterns
- Understand your emotional responses and nervous system states
- Reconnect with parts of yourself that have been pushed aside
- Reclaim your voice, your boundaries, and your inner space
- Develop emotional maturity and self-compassion

This is not a quick fix. It’s a guided return to emotional sovereignty.

There are two ways to begin working with the Reself Method:

1. The Reself Group Programme
A 12-week online group therapy experience for adults healing from emotional trauma and abandonment wounds. Includes psychoeducation, somatic tools, emotional processing, and safe connection.
- Small group size (6–10 people)
- Weekly 90-minute sessions on Zoom
- Perfect for building self-awareness and emotional resilience

2. One-to-One Reself Therapy
Deep, long-term individual psychotherapy guided by the Reself Method. Ideal for those ready to explore their trauma history, emotional patterns, and relational pain in a contained, personalised space.
- Online or in-person (Chigwell, UK)
- Sliding scale available
- Around one one-year commitment
